"Suraksha” is a free Insurance Scheme offered by the Sri Lankan Government for all students studying in Sri Lankan Government Schools, Government approved Private School, "Special Needed" School and Piriven School, which covers Medical Expenses, Personal Accident, and Compensation for the Death of Parents.

  • 05 Y to 21 Y Students who are attending to Government Schools, Government approved Private School and Piriven.
  • 04 Y to 21 Y Students studying in "Special Needed" Schools.

  • 2nd Year - 01.07.2025 to 30.06.2026
  • 3rd Year - 01.07.2026 to 30.06.2027

Hospitalization Cover Rs.300,000/- per Year
Private Hospital Room Charges Rs.12,500/- per Day
Government Hospital Per Day Benefit Rs.1,000/-
Critical Illness Cover Rs.1,500,000/- per Year
Special OPD Cover Rs.20,000/- per Year
Parent Death Cover - Per Parent Rs.75,000/-
Personal Accident Cover Rs.200,000/-

Special Notice -

All claim documents need to be submitted through the web portal and if there is any further clarification to the settlement of the claim, SLIC GL has right to call original physical documents.

All original claim documents including claim form must be signed by the school principal with the principal's seal, signature, and date of signing. (Please make sure principal’s certification at the bottom of the documents, ensure not to obscure any details)
